Political Career In Nepal

Joining politics in Nepal is more about earning money, it's not about selfless service. When I watch television I find one difference between western country and Nepal i.e. in western country people treat film stars and musicians as famous person or rich person but in Nepal politician live life of celebrities. They get cover from media each and every time.
When a actor or singer passes by no one cares, but when a politician passes people will start talking and will surely treat him/her as celebrity.
Celebrities in western country are full time dedicated to their job but here in Nepal every single person who is associated to party is a full time contributor of that party. While our singers and actors are part time singers/actors.

Things are opposite. Being politician is profession while singing and acting still unstable or still lacks professionalism.

Save Safa Tempo

Electric tempo of Kathmandu called as safa tempo are my favorites. They run on battery so they are non polluting. They don't keep their passengers kochakoch so it's easy to use them daily base. But these days I am seeing a problem with them and that's about fare. Using a diesel powered micro van and traveling from Gausala to Sundhara cost maximum of 15 rupees without student card discount but it't costs 18 rupees when we use tempo. It sounds unfair because electric vehicles are being expensive than the vehicles that runs on fossil fuel. Due to this cause tempo drivers are experiencing that very few people are using tempo nowadays. They say if this thing goes continuously tempo will surely day one day as trolly bus died. The problem has gone so high but I don't see any news agency or media trying to know this problem. I guess they even don't about this problem or they don't want to know. I am not writing this just because I love tempos. I am writing this because tempos are very important for making this polluted Kathmandu Valley a breathable city.

Wider Roads

Roads of Kathmandu are on the way of getting wider. In one way it's great thing. It's very good to have wider roads with no traffic jams, and no traffic jams also mean no ta ta tu tu of vehicles. But in another way there are many negative things that these wider roads are bringing. The first one is, these wider roads are making sever families homeless and also hope less. The second one is these wider roads are encouraging people to buy more private vehicles. They are thinking they should buy a new car or a new bike because the road of Kathmandu is getting bigger. What I think is I this way the traffic problem of Kathmandu will never be solved. Rather than people should think about cycle lanes. And it's because this will reduce the burden of our country i.e no more petrol lines and no more problem with IOC, better health, less polluted kathmandu, no more school buses will require as school kids will themselves will use cycle to go to school and no more economic burden to low income family. And there are severals benefits of cycle. We will explore them only after riding.

What Next

There was the time of wrist watch. It was the most desirable thing for both men and women. We used to see check time in our watch. The better watches then came with several functions like altitude meter, calendar, etc. There was the time when watches were the only thing that everyone ask for. Whenever we wanted show off, we used to show our wrist watch. It was beautiful, it was wearable and it also easy to show off. I guess it will be better to say that it was  a kind of status symbol.
But it's the time of mobile phones. This time it's the most desirable thing. It's handy, it's beautiful and also better the phone you have smarter you look.  Mobile phones not just help you in talking with your people. It helps you in many different things, emailing, texting, navigating, files, sharing and many more things that you can imagine. Though the watches are still in use but mobile are already in it's place. People never forget to move without mobile. In past we used to say like " please come to that place on this time and we will meet, but nowadays we say like please come to that place and give me a call and i will come". So this is the change. Watches were made to see the time only and mobile phones were made to talk only but our common sense used those things this way.
But the question is what will be next. Tablets ? No they are just bigger. What will be the most desirable thing on humans life. What is that thing which is handy, wearable, stylish and daily usable.  Maybe the answer will come after thinking what we want after watching time and talking with people.

Suma Tharu Singing her past in Women in the World 2012

.........we are still practicing these type of social crime. Kamlari Pratha, Child Labour, Chaupadi, Dowery System and many more. We are trying to create a new Nepal but we are focusing only within urban areas.

Why we take these things so lightly. A small girl suffers in landlords house as slave but we don't care. A small boy in chiya pasal wakes up at 5 am to clean dishes and cups but we don't care. A family looses everything during their's daughter marriage but still we don't care. We get emotional for few minutes after watching such videos but after that ...
